STAFF SERVICES ANALYST/ NORTHERN BUTTES DISTRICT OFFICE/ OROVILLE, CA

The reporting location of this position is the Northern Buttes District Office located in Oroville, CA. Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II (Administrative Chief) and general direction from the State Park Superintendent III (Public Safety Chief), the incumbent will perform a variety of administrative, technical, and analytical work in cooperation with the Public Safety Chief and other Superintendents and State Park Peace Officers within Northern Buttes District. This position includes a broad depth of laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and policies, frequent interaction with the public, and close collaboration with entities representing divisions within the Department, as well as outside agencies including nine County District Attorney offices. The position will travel periodically throughout the district to provide support to each sector.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. Must be able to train to become CORI (Criminal Record Offender Information) certified. This position is considered a non-sworn Law Enforcement Assistant.

Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Working Conditions

The incumbent will work during core business hours, primarily in an indoor office environment, equipped withstandard or ergonomic office equipment, as appropriate. This will include the daily use of a personalcomputer, various software applications, various databases, and other business equipment as necessary.Incumbent may sit in a normal seated position, engage in telephone conversations or operate a keyboard forextended periods of time. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings or training classes. Travelmay involve work outside of the office and therefore moderate exposure to a full range of environmentalconditions, varying terrain, unusual elements and inclement weather.
