We are seeking a Director of Health & Wellness to lead the health and well-being of residents within our Assisted Living community. Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead and oversee a variety of important tasks to ensure the best care for our residents, including:
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the community complies with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations regarding clinical care.
Trend Analysis & Improvement: Collect, analyze, and report on clinical occurrence trends and implement improvement plans when necessary.
Health and Safety Oversight: Partner with the administrative team to maintain the health and safety of both residents and staff.
Pharmaceutical Services: Collaborate with pharmacy consultants to provide optimal pharmaceutical care to residents.
Staff Leadership & Education: Provide clinical expertise and support to licensed nurses and assist with educational presentations for staff development.
Resident Care Plans: Identify ongoing resident needs through assessments and service plans, ensuring that updates are made in accordance with state regulations.
Family Communication: Keep families informed about any changes in care or health status and maintain strong relationships with them.
On-Call Rotation: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure consistent care when needed.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the health and wellness of residents and staff.
Supervision & Leadership:
As a Director of Health & Wellness, you will supervise and guide LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, and other team members, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to residents. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a positive, collaborative environment that values quality care.
Qualifications & Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you'll need the following:
Education & Experience:
Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) may be considered
A minimum of one year of nursing leadership experience, preferably in senior living settings
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Skills & Abilities:
A strong desire to work with seniors and a genuine commitment to their well-being
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment, though exposure to body fluids and chemicals may occur. Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands, and occasionally bending or lifting heavy objects. You'll also be expected to push wheelchairs, requiring the ability to move up to 350 pounds with assistance.
