Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and driven Global Alliance Director to lead the strategic partnership with Dell Technologies. As part of our dynamic partnerships team, you will play a key role in building and nurturing strong relationships with senior executives at Dell, guiding both teams to collaborate on business objectives, and creating opportunities for growth and market expansion.
In this role, you will oversee the development of a global strategy, working closely with both teams to expand Dell's awareness of open-source solutions, manage a team of Business Development Managers, and drive new business initiatives. Your responsibilities will also include executing go-to-market strategies, managing daily operations, contract negotiations, and resolving any issues that arise. Additionally, you will be an integral part of thought leadership efforts, contributing to joint publications and customer events.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of the global alliance strategy, driving the success of the partnership.
Cultivate and expand relationships with key stakeholders at Dell Technologies and other strategic partners.
Manage and grow a team of experienced Business Development Managers, helping them identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Increase awareness of open-source capabilities within Dell Technologies, especially around Canonical Ubuntu.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the alliance, including contract management, performance tracking, and resolution of challenges.
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including joint publications and customer events.
Travel internationally as needed to support and strengthen partnerships.
Collaborate with internal teams to align and support strategic efforts, identify new opportunities, and drive business forward.
Upsell and expand the partnership with Dell customers, increasing the breadth of offerings.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as an Alliance Manager or Director, with a strong track record in managing strategic partnerships.
Solid experience in Linux, virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships at all levels.
Strong business acumen, with a strategic mindset focused on revenue growth and market expansion.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex ideas clearly.
Independent, disciplined, and results-oriented, with a "get-it-done" mentality.
Passionate about open-source technology and innovation.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, goal-driven environments.
Collaborative team player with a commitment to excellence in customer support.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving operational success.
