Job Description
This position will support PN Operations by gathering, cleaning, and analyzing data to produce accurate reports and dashboards that inform decisions. Working under guidance from senior analysts, this role maintains data quality, documents processes, responds to ad-hoc requests, and develops proficiency in data sets, spreadsheets, and BI tools.
Primary Duties - Respond to data calls and own the intake-to-delivery process: Design and run a structured intake and prioritization framework; make prioritization decisions based on business impact; coordinate with data owners to extract, compile, and deliver accurate, on-time data sets; set and meet SLAs; communicate status to requestors; and track requests, outcomes, and cycle times to drive continuous improvements and transparency.
- Data cleaning and validation with ownership of data quality governance: Define and maintain data quality rules, acceptance criteria, and source-of-truth mappings; implement and monitor validation checks to identify anomalies, duplicates, and missing values; partner with data owners to resolve issues; and publish data quality KPIs to inform leadership decisions and ensure integrity for reporting and analysis.
- Report requirements gathering with end-to-end requirements ownership: Lead discovery sessions to translate business questions into clear reporting specifications; make scope and design trade-off decisions; produce mock-ups, user stories, and use cases; own the requirements backlog and acceptance criteria through sign-off; manage changes via a lightweight change-control process; and ensure alignment to business priorities and OKRs.
- Data analysis and decision support with clear accountability for outcomes: Build queries, visualizations, and ad-hoc reports to answer business questions and track performance against targets; synthesize findings into clear narratives with actionable recommendations; present options and trade-offs to stakeholders; and drive, document, and track decisions and resulting business impact to inform ongoing process and performance improvements.
Minimum Qualifications - Basic understanding of data quality, cleaning, and relational databases
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, ability to document methods and explain findings
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem solving mindset
- 5+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications - Understanding of common KPIs relevant to the organization (, revenue, expenditures)
- Knowledge of Documentation standards: data dictionaries, report specs, and requirements gathering
- Basic understanding of spreadsheets: pivot tables, lookups/XLOOKUP, conditional formulas, data validation, and basic charts
- Ability to summarize insights clearly, create concise visuals, and tailor explanations to non-technical audiences
- Ability to write clear procedures, track changes, and manage tasks effectively
- Ability to translate business questions into measurable metrics, data requirements, and analytical steps
- Skills required to critically assess data quality and assumptions; identify anomalies, outliers, and potential bias
