Responsibilities:

• Supervise licensed social workers and counselors
• Provide individual therapy to students in assigned caseload, as needed
• Participate in the admissions review process, as needed
• Develop and maintain relationships with mental health providers and assist in making referrals as needed
• Assess behavioral skills in collaboration with program team members and help to set individual behavior goals; assist in developing and implementing FBAs and BIPs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individual student IEPs and maintain quality records of progress for each student in the assigned caseload as required
• Provide crisis intervention supports to therapists providing services to students and their families during the school day
• Apply information and skills about characteristics of emotional and behavioral disabilities in carrying out assignments
• Keep abreast of new ideas and developments within the clinical field
• Facilitate CEU opportunities for therapists

Qualifications:

• Maryland LCSW-C and eligible to be authorized supervisor
• Commitment to obtain and/or maintain Maryland State Department of Education School Social Worker Certification, as applicable
• Group, individual and/or family therapy experience with at least one year in a school or clinical setting providing services to children and/or adolescents with emotional and behavioral disabilities, preferred
• Supervisory experience, preferred
