Passionfruit Coffee is a gratuity-included specialty coffee shop in Bedstuy that focuses heavily on hospitality. We care a great deal about the small details that create a consistently excellent experience. We pride ourselves on pulling perfect shots, pouring latte art and making every syrup and pastry in-house, all while focusing on hospitality and giving our guests a great experience. We are an owner-operated neighborhood cafe with lovely regulars.
Our business is growing, and we are looking for a manager to assist with the day-to-day operations in the shop.
The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who is looking to pursue a career in this industry and who would like to help us grow. Must have open and flexible availability and capable of working on bar, pouring latte art, opening and closing the shop and have an interest in learning/ understanding our pastry and syrup production. Must also have experience managing people.
Day to day, the job will include working on bar and register as well as tasks such as:
– Maintaining shop standards, cleanliness and efficiency
– Communicating clearly between staff, guests and owners
– Writing production prep lists and shop task list that need to get done on a day to day basis
– Assisting in writing the schedule and resolving scheduling conflicts/call outs
– Assisting in inventory and ordering
– Reducing waste and improving consistency when possible to reduce/maintain COGS
– Ensuring compliance with heath and safety regulations
Starting pay is $28/hr with 40hours of PTO with an expectation of 35-40hr work weeks
