The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) will serve as a State Buyer responsible for the procurement of Information Technology (IT) and Non-IT Goods for the Department.

The AGPA independently performs a variety of complex analytical duties of a State Buyer that include the initial review of a purchase, classifying the purchase, determining the appropriate acquisition method, and receiving approvals necessary by state purchasing policies and procedures.  This position is the expert level classification of EDD buying

Under the supervision of the Employment Development Department (EDD) Administration Branch, Business Operations, Planning, and Support Division, Office of Procurement, Contracting, and Administration, Procurement Section, Purchasing Services Group (PSG), Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) will serve as a State Buyer responsible for the procurement of Information Technology (IT) and Non-IT Goods for the Department.

The SSA performs a variety of analytical duties of a State Buyer that include the initial review of a purchase, classifying the purchase, determining the appropriate acquisition method, and receiving approvals necessary by state purchasing policies and procedures. This position is the first journey level of EDD buying.
