This Buyer Level 2 supply chain professional is responsible for representing the company in the sourcing, strategic selection, and management of vendors with the goal of procuring the highest quality products on time and within agreed upon terms under only general supervision.
Responsibilities
+ Source and select vendors strategically to procure high-quality products.
+ Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of products.
+ Develop and implement procurement strategies.
+ Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
+ Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
+ Perform market research and vendor assessments.
+ Manage costs and purchasing drivers to optimize the supply chain.
+ Oversee supplier and vendor management processes.
Essential Skills
+ Knowledge of packaging engineering and estimation.
+ Understanding of purchasing and supply chain management.
+ Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
+ Strong procurement and negotiation skills.
+ Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus.
+ Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required.
+ Experience with ERP, MRP, and purchasing processes.
+ Familiarity with market research and cost management.
Work Environment
The position is on-site with no remote opportunities during the contract period. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexible options such as starting earlier at 7 AM or 6 AM and leaving accordingly. The office environment is supportive and accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
