Bookkeeper | Byron Center, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including invoices for raw materials and operational expenses.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing customers for manufactured goods and services.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and post journal entries.
• Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
• Track and reconcile inventory costs, including raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare monthly financial statements such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and financial reporting standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods specific to manufacturing.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills for maintaining financial records.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles, including COGS and inventory valuation.
• Familiarity with inventory management and tracking processes.
• Experience with fixed asset management and depreciation of manufacturing equipment.
