Lounge Barback 

S ummary :  

The Lounge Barback is responsible for stocking and re-stocking all bar inventories and supplies while maintaining the organization of the bar. The barback assists bartenders in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, keeping all liquor displays and shelving organized and well maintained, ensure the bar is well stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, garnishes, and all other necessities, and taking on other duties to support the bartender and ensure that the bar operates smoothly. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced lounge environment.

  Key Responsibilities:  

• Assist Bartenders:   Support bartenders throughout service by ensuring the bar is always stocked and set up for service to ensure a high level of quality service.  

• Guest Interaction:   Provide professional and exceptional service by helping deliver food and beverage to the guests  

• Health and Safety : Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring that all areas meet cleanliness standards and are free of hazards. Follow company procedures for handling cleaning supplies and sanitizing surfaces.

• Cleanliness and Maintenance:   Maintain cleanliness of the bar and bar area by promptly cleaning empty glassware, dishes, and trash. As well as keeping all back-of-house storage and refrigeration clean and organized.  

• Collaboration : Work closely with all staff members to maintain an organized, efficient, and guest-friendly environment.  

• Opening/Closing Duties : Properly set up bar stations with proper equipment and supplies to help set up the bar for success. Closing duties include but are not limited to emptying the trash from behind the bar and disposing of it up to code, wiping down the bar, and prepare the area for the next shift.  

Qualifications:  

• Prior experience in a restaurant or lounge environment required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to assist guests and team members.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and carrying.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Environment:  

• The lounge barrack works in a busy, often fast-paced environment that requires constant movement and interaction with guests and work closely with the bartenders.

• Maintaining a polished, professional appearance and positive demeanor is essential.

• Barbacks should be prepared to handle tasks such as clearing the bar, carrying multiple liquor bottles and ice, and supporting the lounge team during peak hours
