Job Overview
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and caring Assistant Teacher to support our Lead Teacher in providing quality early childhood education at our Keystone Star IV Woodland Academy Child Development Center. In this role, you will help nurture the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children under the guidance and supervision of the Lead Teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing various educational and developmentally appropriate activities for children
Help create a safe and supportive environment for children to explore and grow
Collaborate with the teaching team to meet the individual needs of children
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ensure that all program activities align with the center's educational goals and standards

Qualifications:

High School Diploma (HSD) or General Education Development (GED) certificate
Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate required, or willingness to obtain one within one year of employment
At least two (2) years of relevant experience in childcare or early childhood education
An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not required
Local candidates are preferred
