The mission of Livius Prep is to empower every student to achieve their own academic success. To accomplish this, we hire individuals who are willing to invest in their students and themselves. Our instructors are creative, innovative, unique, and most importantly have the ability to build genuine relationships with every student. These qualities help create a positive and engaging environment where students feel valued and motivated.   

We are hiring responsible, knowledgeable classroom instructors who want to jump in with both feet to help us connect with students and be a part of one of our most prestigious school partnership programs. This position is in-person with after school hours working with 6th, 7th, & 8th grade enrichment programs in literacy & STEM. Our students are highly motivated for personal growth; therefore, we are seeking individuals who share their love and excitement for learning.   

What we ask of you: 

• Ability to share your passion and inspire students to reach their full potential 
• Are creative, professional, and serious about providing purposeful academic opportunities for all 
• Maintain an accurate calendar and be available during the school day and afterschool throughout the work week 
• Be available to work in-person on campus in Boston, Lynnfield, Somerville, and surrounding towns in Massachusetts 
• Provide timely and detailed notes after each session 
• Engage with the team, and communicate openly and regularly with those who support you 

Are you the right fit? 

• ​​​​​You have experience working in a culturally diverse environment and a passion for fostering an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere 
• You are reliable and punctual and live within a reasonable commute of our school partners, each 40 miles or less outside of Boston, Massachusetts 
• You know how to connect with your students 
• You want to be a part of an exciting company as it grows 
• You have completed at least four years of college 
• You are preferably a certified teacher 
• You are eligible to work in the U.S. and can successfully complete a federal I-9 form and a national background check

• Hourly rates starting at $35-40 per hour

• Ability to complete sessions online in addition to in-person appointments (snow days)
