The Mission of the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) is to protect and promote the health of all San Franciscans. SFDPH strives to achieve its mission through the work of multiple divisions - the San Francisco Health Network, Population Health, Behavioral Health Services, and Administration. The Population Health Division (PHD) provides core public health services for the City and County of San Francisco: health protection, health promotion, disease and injury prevention, and disaster preparedness and response. Behavioral Health Services operates in conjunction with SFHN and provides a range of mental health and substance use treatment services.
ABOUT SFHN PRIMARY CARE: Primary Care division is at the center of San Francisco Health Network’s complete system of care. On-site specialty services include prenatal care and family planning services; integrated behavioral health and substance use services; dental, gender health, nutrition, pharmacy, and podiatry services; integrative health services such as acupuncture; and care for people experiencing homelessness and refugees/asylum seekers.
Our Primary Care teams partner with University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) faculty and staff who provide acute, specialty, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation care; teach health care trainees; and conduct research at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG).
We are dedicated to eliminating health disparities and becoming an anti-racist organization by prioritizing racial justice and equity in healthcare.
