Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Type: Direct Hire - Perm
Location: Petaluma, CA (100% Onsite)
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Accounting Department, supervising staff accountants, and supporting global accounting efforts through daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide the accounting team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
• Provide quarterly feedback and growth plans to the team.
• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cashbook processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review inventory, WIP, GRN, and modules to maintain data integrity.
• Conduct daily cashbook reconciliation and manage intercompany AP/AR accounts.
• Handle cash management, including payroll processing and intercompany payments.
• Review AR Trial Balance and reconcile outstanding balances.
• Perform sales tax reconciliation and filings across multiple states.
• Conduct inventory and fixed asset reconciliation and oversee related management processes.
• Analyze foreign exchange fluctuations and report on foreign currency transactions.
• Prepare and report corporate credit card expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Support financial audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Review China LLGAAP profit projections and align them with corporate financial strategies.
• Manage invoicing for tenant rent and related investment LLC expenses.
• Oversee cost accounting functions, including cost implosion, goods in transit, and WIP tracking.
• Conduct purchase price variance (PPV) analysis and inspection cost reviews to optimize financial performance.
• Manage 1099 reporting for accurate and timely filings.
• Oversee lease crunch analysis for financial planning and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in accounting leadership roles with strong people management skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions and financial consolidations.
• Familiarity with audit procedures and compliance standards.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and ability to multitask effectively.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to work collaboratively across departments.
• Experience managing asset registers and depreciation.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
